I'm Stan Chang. I live in Singapore, where I build software.

I'm a full-stack developer specializing in AI, web, and productivity development. I used to focus on iOS development and game development. My professional software development career has spanned over 20 years. Writing software is both work and hobby for me, both of which I enjoy. Currently, I'm the CTO at Taskade, where we're building AI-powered productivity and collaboration tools.

I strive to be a contributing member of the local (Singapore and Malaysia) and open source communities, giving talks at local meetups and releasing projects as open source.

I believe that state is the root of all complexity. To quote, "it is the presence of many possible states which gives rise to the complexity in the first place". Writing quality, maintainable software is an exercise of reducing the number of states one needs to manage in a given context.
